Andrew Chisholm has owned Christie The Baker for 11 years, although the business has a long established history in North Lanarkshire. Over this period of ownership the bakery has progressed forward with product development by improving old and introducing new products, re fitting of the shops and winning high accolade awards. You will find Christie the Baker shops in the high streets of Airdrie, Coatbridge and, since May 2022, Whitburn, West Lothian. We employ over 60 local staff, some of whom have been with the business for over 40 years, with a combined 220 years of Master Baker experience, we aim to provide "Quality baking through the generations" At the National Bakery Awards 2023, we won "South West Scotland Bakery of the Year" which we are delighted with. We also received the "Taste Our Best" Quality Assurance Award 23/24 from Visit Scotland for our use of Scottish suppliers, excellent finished baked products, low food miles, brilliant customer service and local community support.
